The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has been declared a worldwide pandemic by the World Health Organization. COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is believed to spread mainly from person-to-person contact, including individuals without disease symptoms. As a result, federal, state, and local governments and federal and state health agencies recommend social distancing and have, in many locations, prohibited or limited the congregation of groups of people.
The health and well-being of our staff and athletes remains our top priority. Athletes waiting to attend a session will need to wait outside while maintaining social distance from others. Furthermore, all athletes and spectators in sponsored activities at Vision Volleyball Club must agree to and abide by the following:
Eligibility for attendance: Stay home if you are sick or do not feel well. Be aware of and disclose any potential contacts with affected individuals. Keep a list of people you have been in contact with each day.
Please be aware that if at any point you or someone who you have been in contact with becomes sick, you will be asked to self quarantine for 14 days. If you have symptoms, test positive for COVID-19, and/or have a known exposure to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, you are required to report it to the club.
Athletes: Every Athlete will be required to properly disinfect their hands before starting each training. Athletes will only be allowed to enter the facility at most 10 minutes prior to their session. After completing and passing the proper screening measures athletes will be allowed to enter the facility. Once the session ends, Athletes will be picked up at the back of the facility. No waiting will be allowed in the facility.
Spectators: Spectators inside the facility will be asked to wear masks. Once a session ends, athletes will be picked up at the back of the facility; no waiting will be allowed in the facility. The club encourages parents to wait in their cars but if they must get out, practice safe social distancing and remain 6 feet away from non-family members. Each tournament may have a different spectator limit and policies, so please check before attending.
Safety Equipment: It is at the discretion of the athlete to wear some type of face-covering
Cleaning: Coaches and Staff members will disinfect any touch points upon arrival and exit of their shift. They will also disinfect touch points as needed every hour or sooner if needed. They will use hand sanitizer after working with each customer to help eliminate cross contamination between customers.
Hand sanitizer will be provided and is required at each court for additional safety measures. Coaches and Staff will clean nets, pads, and water fountains with a disinfecting solution once a day. All equipment including volleyballs used during each training will be cleaned and stored to dry. Restrooms and all contact points will be cleaned once a day; deep cleaning will be done once a week.
