COLLEGE PREP TEAM – CPT

Vision Volleyball began its College Prep Team concept in 2013.  The idea was to assemble Juniors and Seniors that were serious about cultivating opportunities to play in college.  They would be placed under the direction of a coach who could not only improve their skills, but whose knowledge of the recruiting process was unparalleled.

Coach Nick Cheronis, current Head Coach at Santa Fe College and former University of Florida Assistant Coach, leads our College Prep Team.  Athletes are given a guide map of the recruiting process and learn what steps they must take to open the doors of opportunity.  As part of the program, athletes are provided access to Sports Recruits recruiting service.  They are trained both physically and mentally for play at the college level.

In our 2013, our inaugural year, 89% of our seniors went on to play in college. In 2014, the number was 75%.  Since then, the placement numbers have continued to be very high. The College Prep Team is also perfect for those who already have already signed, as colleges want their upcoming athletes to continue playing in their final high school semester. The College Prep Team provides an atmosphere where they can thrive and continue to improve their skills, under the direction of a college coach.

While ultimately, some athletes make the decision that they do not want to play in college, we require those that want to join CPT to be serious about their future and intent on discerning the path that is best for them. Only the most dedicated and committed players should seek to join the program.
